LICENSE COMMITTEE TO MEET NEW YORK, N. Y., Feb. 21. The license committee of the Jockey Club will meet March 1 to pass upon applications of trainers and jockeys for permission to ply their vocations on New York tracks during the racing season. As usual, trainers and riders have been slow to file their applications and some of them will probably be too late to begin work at the opening of the season if they do not apply soon. Owners who wish to register their colors for the 1024 racing season are advised to do so before April 1 as the fee will jump from to ?5 on that date.
