Wrn handily; second and third driving. SEA-WOLF saved much ground, on the turns and, standing a hard drive after taking the lead in the stretch, drew away in the last sixteenth. BOOT BLACK, away fijrwardly, showed the most speed to the stretch, hut tired in the last seventy yards. BETHLEHEM STEEL came with a rush in the last eighth. ST. GERARD raced well throughout. Won easily; second and third driving. STARGO, away poorly and ridden wide on the turns, came with a rush through the stretch and won going away. PAUL MICOU raced forwardly and, finishing fast, outstayed DUMBFOUNDER. The latter saved much ground when ccming into the stretch and ran a good race. LITTLE ALFRED displayed the most early speed and set a fast pace to the stretch, but began tiring in the last sixteenth. DAN ROLLING had no mishaps. SWEEPSTAKES began slowly and was ridden wide into the stretch, but finished well. LIEUTENANT FARRELL showed the most speed for a half mile, but tiled in the stretch drive. POOR SPORT ran well. ISOSCELES passed BEVERWYCK after going three-quarters and raced into the lead, apparently , i an easy winner, but began tiring in the last sixteenth and just lasted long enough. BRUNELL began slowly and was far back for the first half, but saved much ground on .the turns and, gaining fast in the I stretch, would have won in a few strides more. GONDOLIER ran a good race and finished fast. JOHN , I PAUL JONES had no mishaps. BAFFLES ran poorly. WIDGEON set the early pace and, running a good race, might have won but for falling lame in the race and finished in a bad way. FOSTER EMBRY ran well and saved much ground on the stretch turn. GEN. CADORNA closed a big gap. ROYAL , CHARLIE raced into the lead in the stretch, but tired badly. WESTWOOD was done after going well for three-quarters.
