Mrs. Hoots good son of Black Toney and Useeit has been training Avell for the Derby, but until Saturday, when he Avas permitted to Avork at high speed for three-quarters in 1:13 2-5, hp had not shown enough to Avar-rant the belief that he Avould be ready. This latest move Avould indicate that Black Gold Avill be sent to the post before many days and then there may be a revision of the present Derby estimates.
