May 7— Single Foot, the unbeaten, won the third renewal of the Pimlico Homo-Bred Stakes this afternoon in fourth start of his career but had more I trouble than in any previous race. Third money fell to Clifford Cochrans Annie Jordan, a first time starter, that had worked well. J. K. drif- liths stable coffers were enriched ,150 as result of the latest victory of the son of Wrack-Virginia D. Single Foot ran his usual race from the -barrier. He began a bit slowly but moved the front almost immediately. Annie I Jordan pressed him closest at first with 1 Golden Spire third in the procession and Storm King fourth. Faddist came next and Crumple was last in the run around the turn. ] Straightened out Scobie began to ride hard and Single Foot responded well enough to finish, but was hearing out through the stretch a manner to indicate that he is not as good a horse as previously rated. Guingamp carried M. OConnor to victory over Carabinier in the steeplechase. St. Lawrence was third at the end of the two miles. Guingamp was rated in the middle the bunch until the second turn of the field. Then OConnor moved around the J others and drew into a safe lead. Carabinier was restrained far out of it the tirst mile ] j but made up much ground in a charge which •began with the second circuit. John P. Nixon owns the winner. "Specks" Crawford trains him. Decisive, Hummel and Houyhnhmn were the only ones to come to grief. Decisive lost his rider at the fourth fence. Hummel fell at the twelfth and Houyhnhnm at the | anal obstacle, ■ | James Arthurs rail runner Wessie B. won the third at a mile and a sixteenth. F. Hast-i ings. a rail rider had the mount Wessie B. began to move up on the far turn and : ; triumphed by a head over St. Donard, which j j made the pace but bore out in the stretch run. Dr. has. Wells beat the others. He was prominent all the way. BOTIIKK BREAKS RECORD. Breaking a track record of fifteen years standing, Hal Harrs Bother won the first i five-eighths dash for juveniles run at this i meeting. Wallace had the mount. The filly covered the route in 1 :05, shaving tWO-e fifths off Tasleys record. Bother was in front ail the way and was whipped out to win by half a length from Gymkhana. Aral nitration boat ftonalarto and Sam Preset for third money. The Pimlico Graded Handicap, run in three divisions, took care of the final positions on the card. Entries f r this fixture are handed to a board of handicappers, , whose weights are averaged. Digit carried the Canadian silks of the Seagram Stable to a length and a half victory over Sarko fr«.m the Kenton Stable. A similar distance separated Suppliant from the third horse. Fast alack, KelLrman and St. llliers completed the procession past the finish. Albert Johnson sent Digit to the front and led throughout, driving at the end to maintain his advantage. Sarko toned the pace. Suppliant finished fastest of the lot. Albert Johnson complete. :t double astride R. I. Millers Roland in the lass C division of the hamlieap. lie made all the pace with the maiden sun of Sweep and rode him out to win by a length from Sea Sand. Leonard G. finished third after considerable difficulty around the turn.
