; ; j l ■ : | CHURCHILL DOWNS ITEMS OF INTEREST FROM FAMED KENTUCKY TRACK LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 27. Jockey J. Heupel left Tuesday morning for Omaha, to ride for the stable of Williams Brothers. Bob McGarvey has sold to Mrs. C. Diebold the plater Huonec, and Frank Rush will train the horse in future. The major portion of the E. R. Bradley Stable will be shipped to Latonia Saturday morning and the remainder will go forward Sunday. The second race introduced a newcomer to the turf in E. J. Holland, a wealthy Atlantic City contractor, who is in quest of a racing stable with Ivory, a recently acquired one, forming the nucleus of it. Betty Beal and Brilliant Cast were shipped to Idle Hour Farm yesterday to bs turned out for the racing season. Betty Beal is in-I tended for breeding purposes and has probably terminated her racing career. Stake books for the Latonia meeting were distributed among the horsemen Tuesday. In addition to the entries to the nine valuable stakes to be run during the course of the twenty-nine days meeting, the book contains the conditions of the first eight days races.
