i I | : ! JEFFORD HORSES COUGHING NEW YORK, N. Y., May 27.— Robert Smith, trainer of Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords horses, stated that the two-year-olds in the stable were coughing. This string comprises the first get of Golden Broom and several of the Man o War two-year-olds. Although the cough has been bothering many stables on the metropolitan tracks, John EL Madden is authority for the statement that it is nothing more than a cold, contracted when the two-year-olds start their spring training. The weather on Long Island this spring has had much to do with these colds. : •
