I ~ FAIR LATONIA DAILY TURF GOSSIP AT NOTED KENTUCKY TRACK LATONIA, Ky., June 10. The stable of J. B. Partridge arrived this morning from Wheeling, W. Va. Track superintendent Tom Young of Churchill Downs came over to confer with general manager Matt J. Winn about some additional improvements at the Louisville track. Jockey B. Kennedy had to suspend riding after the third race on account of almost being blinded by the mud. J. O. Keene, who is managing the Raeeland track near Ashland, has authorised Julius Reeder to take applications for stable room at the new Kentucky track. There have been many applications already by owners intending to race there. Pretty Politician has been turned over to A. J. Heffernan to train. Jockey J. Pevic had to cancel his riding engagements for the afternoon on account of illness. T. M. Murphy, owner and breeder of Sor-line, came over from Louisville to witness that colt perform in the fifth race. Ballot Brush found new ownership after the closing race, Williams Brothers claiming him at a cost of ,700. O. Torrell retaliated by claiming Williams Brothers Quotation at a cost of ,300.
