Won driving: second and third the same. DOUBLE TIP was saved for over a mile and. coming fast around the final turn, wore THE TROUT down and outgamed him iu a long finish drive. THE TROUT, after racing under early restiaint, was called on shortly after beginning the final turn of the field and finished gamely, but tiring. CHUCKLE moved up with THE TROUT and threatened for a time and was eased up when beaten, ROCKING HORSE slowed the most early speed while jumping cleanly, but also tired. TREVISCOT quit. RACKET raced past the early leader in the stretch and drew away to win in a canter. PETER PIPER set a fast pace to the stretch, but quit badly when challenged. NANCY McKAY came with a rush in the center of the track and caught the rider napping on DON JUAN. The latter ran well. STONEWALL was away slowly and closed a big gap. GOLDEN BULB was saved behind SnTFFLE ALONG to the head of the stretch, then came fast on the outside of the pacemaker into the lead and drew away to win easing up. MITTTKINS was outrun early, but finished fast and was under stout restraint through the last sixteenth. SHlFFLK AIDING set a good pace under restraint, but tired under his weight and was ridden out when it became apparent that lie was beaten. CALCUTTA raced with the pacemakers for a half mile and fell back as if well beaten, but came again and finished fast. STONE JUG was never a contender. Scratched— 78840 Peddler, 104. THE CI.OCKMENDKK refused to start, but followed the others away from the post at a distance, then wheeled and ran the other way.
