FLYING FRENCHMAN BEATEN EPINARD. The French champion, Epinard, met defeat in the first International Special at Belmont Park Labor Day but made a fine impression finishing second to Wise Counsellor in a fast run race with LadMn, Zev and other Yankee stars in his wake.
