DAMON RUNYON set the pace nntil well in the stretch, but tired in the final drive. . JOHN F. KLEAVER closed a gap and finished fast and gamely. CLEG showed speed to the stretch. . PRINCE HAMPTON and BRYNDEAR showed early speed, but tired and quit. BRUNETH was always 3 outrun. THORNY WAY raced in a contending position all the way and finished well in the final drive. LADY HEART set a good pace, but tired when an eighth out and Just lasted to save third place. EL JESMAR closed a big gap and, with a better ride, might have been the winner, as he had to pull up at the sixteenth post. FLUFFY RUFFLES quit after going five-eighths.
