BELMONT PARK NOTES J. E. Madden claimed Myrtle Belle from S. Louis, following the running of the first race, for ,G0O. Matt Brady reports that a yearling by Madrigalian, which he purchased for J. E. Davis at Saratoga, unloaded from that point very sick. Word was received today of the death of Tommy Tompkins, a well known racing man who had been very ill at his home in Brooklyn. The deceased was a brother of Gwynn Tompkins, trainer of the Glen Riddle Farm.
