DUETTISTE ran a good race all the way but, after racing into the lead, was tiring through tlie final sixteenth. CARABINIER moved up at the sixteenth jump, but quit when called on. LIEUTENANT SEAS showed high speed, but was taken very wide on the first turn and blundered at several jumps. AOX POPULI II. quit. DARE SAY followed the leaders closely and. moving up steadily after rounding the far turn, finished with a rush, but tired right at the end. AGA KHAN followed the others well back under restraint until rounding the stretch turn, from Ca,nc fast on the outsitle and finishing with a rush, was drawing clear at the end. TRANSMUTE was saved close up until at the middle of the far turn, from where ho raced into the lead and drew away, but was tiring badly at the end. MR. MUTT was in a pocket for most of the race and was running fast at the end. APPREHENSION ran a good race and had no mishaps. SUN FLAG raced into the lead and quit badly. FINLAND showed the most speed from the start and, racing GOLD STICK into defeat, made a game finish. GOLD STICK showed high speed, but tired after taking the lead. STIRRUP CUP finished fast on the outside. SCORCHER ran well to the stretch.
