LATONIA NOTES LATONIA, Ky.. Oct 1. James Gilmore has been granted a trainers license. T. H. Wilson reached Latonia Wednesday morning from Canada with the tfiree-yeax-olds Dandybrush, St. Martins, Tiday and Arabian. Jockey G. Ellis had to cancel the remainder of his riding engagements after the first on account of sustaining an injury to his foot while riding Haleakala. William Snyder, who wielded the starters flag for the first sixteen days of the meeting, will be succeeded Thursday by William Hamilton, who will send the fields away for the remaining fifteen days. The Audley Farm Stables superb three-year-old filly Princess Doreen, which is being prepared for her engagement in the Interna-ticn Special No. 3,. was given a work at a mile and an eighth over a difficult track prior to the races at Latonia Wednesday. The filly, with Harry. Stutts up, showed a splendid performance by going the distance in 1:58.
