Won driving; second and third the Fame. ZERO HOUR was outrun, but close up to the stretch, then worked his way up on the outside nnd, finishing with a rush, outstayed DICK WH1TTINGTON in the final drive. DICK WHITTINGTON forced the pace from the start, raced BALANCE SHEET into defeat and finished well. DELHI BOX showed the most speed from thd start, but tired in the final drive. BALANCE SHEET raced into the lead, but tired when put to a drive. SOCRATES began very slowly and closed a big gap. DUGOUT had scant chance at the start. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. LADY BELLE gained steadily on the inside and, coming fast around the stretch turn, passed LEOPARDESS and was casing up at the end. LEOPARDESS crossed over sharply shortly after the start and crowded MISS STAR and MARGIN, then raced into a clear lead, but tired badly near the end. ELVINA finished fast on the outside. MISS STAR was forced to come wide on the stretch turn and tired badly in the final sixteenth. MARGIN moved up at the far turn, but tired Jadly. PRINCE JAMES began slowly, but steadily improved his position on the backstretch and, finishing resolutely tcok the lead and outstayed LONG POINT in the final drive. The latter came wide when entering the stretch and finished fastest of ail. WASHINGTON showed the most early speed and finished gamely, but was tiring in the final drive. PEANUTS ran a good race. ANTICIPATION followed in closest pursuit, but was tiring at the end and just lasted to save second place. ROSA YETA began slowly, but improved her position on the inside and finished fast. PROTOCOL ran well and finished gamely. BOWMAN ran well from the start. RUBAN ROUGE had no mishaps. JUNO began slowly.
