JAMAICA TURF NOTES NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct 13. John Loftus, recently trainer for Clendenin J. Ryan, has opened a public training stable and has leased barns at Belmont Park. There he will winter six horses already turned over to him to train for next year. Edward MacDonald, a well-known racing man, died suddenly in the Lutheran Hospital this morning. The deceased was a brother to the late Jack MacDonald, the well-known plunger, and is survived by two sons, one studying in Yale and the other at Harvard. The funeral arrangements will be announced later from his residence.
