QUIESCENT showed much speed and, racing into the lead on the last turn, held it well in the stretch drive. MASTER BLUE was outrun early, hut gained steadily and closed up on the leader in the stretch, but tired right at the end. GOLD TRAP closed a gap and finished with a rush. VULSIG ran well, but tired near the end. BUENA VISTA finished fast from a slow beginning. VICAIRE made the pace all the wayand held GRENADIER safe on tlie flat in a hard drive, but swerved in front of the latter when coming to the final Jump. GRENADIER jumped well and finished gamely. CHUCKLES rider lost a stirrup when beginning the second turn of the field, but recovered it quickly and. his mount outgamed JIM COFFROTH in the final drive. The latter moved np with a challenge, hut struck the tenth jump and lost ground. TELL ME ran well to the sixth jump, but made a bad landing.
