ROSE CLOUD began slowly, but showed much speed from the start and, closing up steadily, raced past TRAPDALE on the last turn and, racing into the lead, held it gamely, although swerving out in the stretch. MENSIS gained steadily from a slow beginning and was running fast at the end. GREAT MOMENTS raced well, but tired. BELLE FAY finished well. TRAPDALE set a good pace to the stretch and quit. Won easily; second and third driving. RIP was saved close up for a mile and a half, then took the lead when called on half way through the second turn of the field and, jumping cleanly, drew away into a cantering lead. DRAFT made the running and jumped well, but was no match for the winner when challenged. FREDDEN ROCK was prominent from the start, but tired near the end. TRAPSTICK jumpod nd finished well.
