DORIUS began slowly and was far back for the first half, but came fast in the stretch. SANDS OF PLEASURE had no mishaps. PIEDMONT quit. PEGASUS dropped back just before reaching the stretch, but came again in the last eighth and finished fast. FRICEMAKER tired after showing much speed and racing into the lead. CAPTAIN HAL was made much use of in the early running in disposing of LITTLE VISITOR before going a half mile, then set a fast pace, but began tiring in the stretch and had to be hard ridden to outstay KING NADI. The latter began slowly, but gained steadily and came fast through the last eighth. BLUE RIDGE raced well and finished gamely. LITTLE ArISITOR set a fast early pace, but quit badly.
