Wen easily; second and third Criving. ETHEREAL BLUE, an extremely good juniper, raced into the lead when beginning the second turn of the field and held sway for the remainder of the race, went to her knees in landing at the final jump, but recovered quickly and was holding DAMASK perfectly safe at the end. DAMASK raced into second place in the second turn of the field arid made a game finish. COURTEOUS set the early pace nnd passed LOLLIPOP in the final quarter. VICAIRE tired badly. BARBARA FRIETCHIE raced forwardly and gamely all the way. SENOR was outrun, but finished gamely. SUMPTER began slowly and showed speed, but tired in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. EAGERNESS set a gKod pace, withstood repeated challenges and just lasted to win in a resolute finish. ALTISSIMO gained steadily from a slow beginning and was going fast at the end. QUOTATION ran a good race, but tired near the end. LEISCH was in a jam on the first turn and saved ground on the second turn, but was forced to pull up in the stretch, then was going fastest of all when clear. LADY AUDREY tired. BLUE AND RED was pulled up sharply to prevent running against the heels of horses when entering the backstretch, then rushed into second place and tired. WILD GOOSE quit.
