Won easily; second and third driving. CHUCKLE followed the early leaders closely under restraint and, jumping well, passed VICAIRE in the final three-quarters and finished well. VICAIRE jumped and raced well, but tired. FAIR MAC lacked speed, but jumped safely and his rider made part of a circuit with his feet out of the stirrups and finished on the wrong course, making a return to the course necessary, for the collection of third money. GRIFFWOOD showed speed, but tired and fell at the eleventh jump. BRIGHT LIGHTS was outrun and fell lame when going to the ninth jump. LINKS lost his rider at the second jump. Won driving; -second and third the same. EDINBURGH began quickly and, setting a fast pace, won all the way, but tired near the end and was hard pressed. POT SHOT closed a big gap on the outside of the leaders and, taking to the Inside In the final sixteenth, caught BARNEY GOOGLE tiring in the final stride and would have been first in a few more strides. BARNEY GOOGLE raced well and challenged the winner in the stretch, but tired. DAMON RUNYON and PETER PAUL moved up with challenges In the stretch, but also tired. ALEX WOODLIFFE quit badly. SUMPTER began slowly, as usual, but began gaining after racing a quarter and, saving ground on the last turn and coming fast through the stretch, just got up in time to win under a vigorous ride. BARBARA FRIETCniE set a fast pace and finished gamely, but tired near the end. PANIC raced close up from the start, but could not improve his position materially in the final drive. AGA KUAN stayed well and made the pace under good riding, but tired slightly when challenged. MY OWN ran well and outstayed RUSTIC and SPOT CASH in the stretch drive RUSTIC challenged the leaders when beginning the final half mile, but tired.
