FIRE AT EMPIRE TRACK NEW YORK. N. Y.f Nov. 17. Fire destroyed two old stables and one new one at the Empire City race track early Saturday morning. The buildings destroyed by the flames were located on the Yonkers avenue side of the Butler property and were unoccupied. If the wind had not shifted sharply while the fire was ranging, the entire plant would have been endangered. Thc-source of the fire has not been ascertained, but it is believed that tramps, seeking lodging in the vacant buildings, were responsible. The loss is estimated at 0,000.
