CARDIFF raced in closest pursuit and, after seeming to tire, came again under a hand ride and would have won in another stride. TRANSFORMER raced close up throughout and finished with a rush tlujcugh the stretch. BRUNS began slowly and closed a gap. TAUDLANE was always outrun. JOY SMOKE was under restraint for the first half and came wide when entering the stretch, but, finishing with a rush, would have won in another stride. INITIATE came very wide on the turn but outfinished SHUFFLE ALONG. The latter set the pace under restraint to the stretch, but tired badly in the final eighth.
