Ross of Montreal will be found high in the list of money winners, his big stable of thirty horses accounting for fifty-seven races and 27,465 in stakes and purses. The greater portion of that sum was won over the various tracks of Canada, where the Ross stable ruled supreme. Hallucination was the star cf the aggregation and swept everything before him on the Canadian circuit, i though he did not fare so well when campaigned in Maryland. Hallucination won five races and 5,750. The filly Vrana was another star of the Ross string, winning the Canadian Derby and five other races, besides finishing second five times and earning 2,150. The three-year-old Deep Thought also was a big winner, with four victories and 0,235 to his credit. The busy New Hampshire was another important factor in the success of the stable, winning nine races and 9,1S0, while Golden Rule contributed ,160, Lilt ,SS0 and Caducous ,490.
