The latter raced well, but tired in the stretch. CUP O TEA was taken back sharply soon after the start, but ran poorly in the going. ROYAL DICK had no mishaps. BLANCHE E. was far back all the way. ST. ALLAN began Blowly and raced poorly. ASA JEWELL, probably best, suffered considerably by being bumped by GAYLY before being interfered with in the stretch, but finished gamely. OSSALEEN showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. LUGS was always far back and raced poorly in the muddy going. The others were always beaten.
