ALL READY AT LEXINGTON Preparations for Opening of Blue Grass Racing Season at Kentucky Course Completed. — — — LEXINGTON, Ky., April 23.— Much activity is being displayed at Lexington in prep-• aration for the annual spring race meeting of the Kentucky Association which is to open Saturday. Practically all of the horses j that are to take part in the meeting are here and they are much more advanced in their training than is usual at this season of the i year. An excellent meeting, barring bad weather, is assured. The weather today was ; brighf and warm. Starter Snyder has had a large number of two-year-olds at the barrier each afternoon l for the last few weeks and the youngsters i are well versed in the art of leaving the j barrier. The most interesting moves this morning • were shown by four eligibles to the Kentucky • Derby. King Nadl ran three-quarters in t 1:14%; Sir Peter, three-quarters in 1:17; ; Step Along, five-eighths in 1 :02%, and Tray-. . more, five-eighths in 1 :03. J. L. Dempsey, noted turf reporter, ar- . rived today from Hot Springs, where he had | been nesting since the cfose at New Orleans. George Brooks came over today from , i Louisville to arrange the removal of some , of Edward Cebrians thoroughbreds from , I Keeneland Farm.
