TRAINING H. OOTS HORSES LEXINGTON, Ky., April 24.— Harry Herdel is training the twenty horses belonging to Howard Oots, who is now in charge of a string for a rich New Yorker at Belmont Park. Howard Wells, a nephew of Mr. Oots, is acting as assistant trainer. Herdel also has the three-year-old filly Mercedes, which he raced successfully in Havana last winter.
