The shipment was made up of Chacolet, Almadel and two two-year-olds. They were in charge of Tommy-Taylor. Jockey Maiben was forced to cancel his engagements this afternoon. Maiben had a stiff neck as a result of his fall from the two-year-old Fanoc yesterday. Two horses changed hands via the claiming route when E. E. Snyder took Try Again for ,000 and H. M. Dixon obtained Oak-wood for ,500. Dr. Cal Mitchell applied the firing irons to the knees of the plater Clear View The horse is turned out at Ollie de Moss farm at Greenland, Md. Horsemen who plan a Canadian campaign wen- pleased with the announcement of dates ; on that circuit and already a number have spoken for cars from here and Pimlico. Two carload! will be shipped direct to Ottawa at ! the conclusion of the Maryland Jockey Club meeting. The majority of horsemen how- ever, will ship direct to the Woodbine. Joseph McLennan distributed the stake blanks for the Dorval meeting among the i bora men. Three fixtures will be run at this 1 meeting: the Quebec Derby, ,000 added- • the Dorval Juvenile Stakes, ,500 added and l the Queens Hotel Handicap, ,000 added
