JAUNEIIAK closed up on the outside in the stretch and finished gamely. BRASS BAND set a fast early pace and tired in the final eighth. BIRRICHINA was going well at the end. CHEMISERIE closed up gamely in the stretch and outstayed ROOTS AND SHOES in the final drive. ROOTS AND SHOES raced close up throughout, but could never improve his pos.t.on. MESS1NES closed a big gap and finished fast. PEGGY O. ran to the extreme outside on the far turn, forc.ng REMNANT out with her, which ruined the tatters chances.
