ARRIVALS AT SCARLET GATE Latest Foals at Frederick Johnsons Farm Include Filly hy High Cloud — Hold Me. LEXINGTON, Ky.. May 20— Among the latest foals to arrive at Frederick Johnsons Scarlet Gate Farm is one that by right of heritage should be a superior sprinter. It is the bay filly by High Cloud— Hold Me, by Von Tromp. Hold Me goes to the court of Irown Prince, this year, by which sire the good mare Dallymona has a brown filly, June Kose, a bay colt, Temais a brown colt. Merry Kose, a bay colt and Prodigy, a brown colt. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson departed yesterday for New York to remain until the Saratoga meeting. IjOo Slingland. private secretary to Edward Beal Mclean. departed today for Washington after having made payment for the stallion M -sst ngt r. which was bought for Mr. Mclean at the Nursery Stud dispersal sale last Friday and inspecting several mares belonging to Mr. Mclx-an and now quartered at James P. Headleys Paradise Farm. They were sent to Kentucky to be mated with stallions in service here. Messenger is to remain at the Nursery Stud until the close of the breeding season, wli.n he will be sent to the Mclean Farm at Eeesburg. Va. Mr. M« Lan has several mares at his Virginia farm that will be sent to Eexington shortly to be mated with Messenger. Ua inond Belmont, who has been here since last Tkwatajr, will depart tomorrow for his Belray Farm at Middleburg, Va.
