CHURCHILL DOWNS] Latest Turf Notes From Famous Kentucky Track LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 23. Caroline has been sold at private terms by R. C. Frakes to Mrs. F. J. Uhlein. llona Vera was excused from starting in the third race, Friday, due to lameness. Roaeoe Goose will be in charge of Brown Sugar when he goes to New York to be a starter in the Withers Stakes at Belmont Park. Brown Sugar will be returned to La-tonia after the race. Jam"S M. Murphy, general manager of the Xew Ofiaaae Fair Grounds track, was an arrival today to confer with E. B. Bradley relative to the new improvements and clubhous3 to be built during the summer. C. II. Knebelkamp has added to his racing string the colt Kyrock, which he purchased from T. P. Hayes. He also bought from Lon Jones the colt Elsass. Jefferson Livingston has resold Newmarket to William Perkins for ,000. Originally Livingston paid Perkins 3,000 for the horse. Fred Musante was advised that his good mare, My Dear, had foaled a filly by Pennant at the Himyar Stud. The International Stable has secured first call for the remainder of this meeting on ti.e apprentice A. Mortensen. Charles Primrose, who is representing the Aurora management here, is advising horsemen not to ship to the Illinois track unless advised that their applications for stall room have been allotted. The apprentice H. Taylor has been transferred to U, H. Knebelkamp, who took over his contract held oy the Audley Farm Stable. He Elizabeth Uaingerfield came over from.
