[ TO BE SEEN AT HAWTHORNE Big Eastern Stables Make Entries for Chicago Derby and Other Rich Hawthorne Stakes. NEW YORK, N. Y.. June 2.— Quite a few of the New York horses will be campaigned at the Hawthorne meeting. Joseph A. Murphy has obtained a number of entries for the big I offerings, among them being Silver Fox, Ne- I dana and Royallte from the Rancocas Stable | for the Cucago Derby, and Mad Play and Silver Fox for the mile and three-sixteenths of the Chicago Special, which is at weight- for-age. Joseph E. Wideners Altawoou is also named for the Special and his llamadan was not nominated for the Derby. Gwyn Tompkins named Samuel D. Riddles American Flag for the Derby and Bob Smith nominated Walter M. Jeffords By Hisself for the same running. Other nominations were made by Max Hirsch, J. S. Ward, who named Wise Counsellor for the Special, and Thomas Healey will send some of the horses of Walter J. Salmon and Richaru T. Wilson to the Chicago track, others that will be on hand are A. W. Swenke. J. F. Richardson. H. P. Whitney, George Odom and Andy i.likely with the William Daniel string. Judge Murphy will leave for Cincinnati Wednesday to visit Batonia Tuursday and Friday.
