March .11. The official entries for the Kings Plate for 192B arc announced by the Ontario Jockev Club. There 4 are forty nominations for the "oldest turf feature run continuously on this continent." eighty less than last year, all but nine of them three-year-olds. All the prominent Ontario t stables arc represented, in addition to a number of smaller owners. The plate race will be run on the opening day of the Ontario Jockey Clubs spring meeting. May 22. ft has 0,000 added by the Ontario Jockey Club, in addition to the fifty guineas, the gift of His Majesty King George V. The distance is one mile and an eighth, the same as last year. The Seagram Stable will likely provide the future favorite with such a fine quartet of three-year-olds as Haplite. Quartzite, Pha-nariot and Quartz-Sinter. J. C. Fletcher, who won the classic last year with Fairbank. again heads the list of nominations with five entries. Fletcher is considered to have a strong band in his Anmer progeny, with the stable connections leaning to the speedy Davenport. The Riverside Stable with Attack and At-wood. and Charles Millar with Heretrix and Solidity, also have their supporters. CONDITIONS OF BIG EVKNT. Winners to carry five pounds extra. Death of nominator does not render entry void. No peldiii allowances. One mile and a furlong. A piece of plate will be presented by the club to the winner.
