PROBABLE TUUANA WINNERS BY HANDICAPPER CLOUD IDOLIZER— SHASTA BULLET— BETTY MURPHY. Cloud Idolizer appears easily best of the juveniles entered in the opener. In his last race he was unprepared at the start and then wheeled when the barrier was sprung. If he were to run back to his race before last, could easily get down in front. Shasta Bullet has been a keen contender in all his starts, but was just a little short in his recent races. If he continues as well here, should be the contender. Betty Murphy just missed, by a neck. In her last out and was home the winner in her previous race. Should be in the money. RANGE KING— GENERAL FRYER-NINON Range King just missed in his last race by a nose. He has been showing steady improvement in his recent races and is about due for a win. The company he meets here should not cause him much trouble. General Fryer has been a bang-up contender in his last five efforts. If he continues at same rate, should be the contender. Ninon ran an exceedingly good race in her last try and may prove dangerous. ROCKBOMB— SILVER STATE— HARRI-GANS HEIR Rockbomb won his last race going away and if he would run back to that race, would be returned the winner. Silver States recent races have been good ones and he only needs to race as well in this start to be in the money. Should be the contender. Harrigans Heir is anything bust consistent, but when in a running mood, could hold his own with this kind of competition. SANFORD— SPIC AND SPAN— FADDIST Sanford looks like a standout in this, the Sonoma Handicap. He is not a weight packer, but his impost of 108 should not bother him. Ran a good second to Serena-der in his last try. Should be able to earn the winners share of the purse in this race, if ever. Spic and Span hasnt won a race at this meeting, but is so much better than the others, cant see how he can miss getting the place. Faddist is not at all reliable, but should he run one of his good races is capable of getting the show portion of the purse. SILLY KID— STAR DUST— MANZANA Silly Kid ran a couple of bad races in his last trys, but is well able to show to better advantage. Expect him to run one of his good races today as the distance is to his liking. Star Dust was a little short in his last race and after getting into the lead tired. Race should have done him a world of good and put him on edge for todays try. Manzana has been showing steady improvement right along and is about ready for a winning race. Should land in the money. LA BELLE— FINIS GLORIOSUS— MISS CALTHA La Belles last two races were good ones and she appears to be again getting in the form she had when she scored in five consecutive races at this course. Finis Gloriosus has not earned a purse in a good long while, but is now rounding into condition. Should be the contender all the way. Miss Caltha is a shifty sort of a plater and is the one we like for the show end of the purse. BEMORECAREFUL— SPORTSMAN-CADMUS Big fields in short distance races always tend to cause much jamming at the start and a fast beginner always has the advantage. Bemorecareful usually is well up in the early racing and should be the one to cop here. Sportsman is a little better class horse than is generally thought, but is more suited to a distance. If hes able to get off well, think his chances good for getting the place. Cadmus tired after setting all the pace in his last race, but expect him to do better at the shorter distance today. COEUR DE LION— COTSTl SION— GUNSIGHT Couer De Lion is by that good sire. Fair Play, and is game to the core. He has not been returned a winner in many starts, but is nearing top form and expect him to finally get home in front today. Contusions recent races have not been much, but she is capable of better things and against this company should easily land in the place. Gunsight lost his last out after winning three in a row with ridiculous ease. Like him for the show end of the purse. TIGHT— PERHAPS— ZING Tight has but to repeat his last race when he cantered home in front of Is and Mr. Pat by eight lengths to account for this number. Perhaps is long overdue and has been a contender in his recent starts. Look to him to land the place. Zing won her last race quite easily over the mile distance. Was drawing away at the finish.
