—— ■ Dick Welles Selections At Bowie i I i i i v I i 1 j PANDORA— PYREX— I tNHHI KITTY. PANDORA, a first time starter from the barn of EL P. Whitney, is given the call in this raif. She is said to have shown plenty in private, and Hopkins, who trains her. »s very sweet on her. Another Whitney starter is the one who is expected to get the place money. This one is IYItKX, a daughter of Whisk Broom II. She did not fare S3 w l in her race the other day, but is looked lotto do better here. DANGEROUS KITTY has had many good things said of her and may be the one to get the show. ESPANOL— -JOHNNY CAMPBELL— W HITE MARSH. ESPANOL raced with fair success down in Florida and he has been burning up the track here -in his morning trials. If he runs to them, should be the winner. JOHNNY CAMPBELL found the distance a little too long for him the other day, but should ha better suited lure. WHITE MARSH, a Canadian performer, and which raced well there, should be able to get some part of the purse. ADEII — • HAZF— M__H BLAZES. ADHSD has had one race at this meeting since making the long journey from Tijuana, when she was beaten by a nose by Welshot. Its quite evident that the long trek took a lot out of her. but that last race was just what she needed for a winning effort her next out. Against the company she meets here she looks like a cinch. HAZK has done will at this course and is the one looked for to place. GREEN BI.AZKS ran an even race her last out and may do as well here. SIN It A J A H— M ISKAI. I.ON « E— EYELASH. SUN RAJAH won his last race by six lengths easing up. and as the competition here is not any better than that he met last out, should again be returned an easy winner. I MUSK ALLONGE is a hard horse to , manage and if the proper rider can be 1 j found to pilot him he may give the winner •I some trouble. EYELASH showed suddci 1 j improvement in his last race and if he I does as well today should get some part of • I the money. BUTTERCUP— BILLY MAN— HARRY C AKROLL. BUTTERCUP gave a good account of her- . self in her last start when she earned a j nose decision over Hobson. This will be h t I first try at this distance, and it is probl-j- matical whether or net she can negotiate it 1 j successfully. Should she be able to carry iter , i speed, the mile and seventy yards, looks , ! like the winner. BILLY MANN has been J : going well here and should be the runner-I up. HARRY CARROLL has been a while finding his racing legs, but may be expected 1 to do better here. j DERNIER SOU— HIDALOO— INVICTUS. DERNIER SOU ran a good second to Gunny Sack last Thursday when he made j up much ground from a slow beginning. He : is right on edge at the present, and should I be ready to step down in front. HIDALGO has had a lot of racing of late and maybe has had too much. If he has retained any form at all is the one expected to get the place. INVKTlS found the heavy track too much of a handicap his last race and finished third after leading to the stretch. With possibilities of a better track, should prove a dangerous ccntender. MOON MAOIC— SANBPILE— KORNOVO. MOON MAGIC did not race to his best in his last out and can do better. If he were to run one of his good New Orleans races, could be the winner. SANDPILE has been improving in his recent races and looks gor.il for the place money. FORNOVO lias a , good chance to be third.
