Dick Welles Selections At Lexington UP SHE GOES— VALENCE— SMACKER. We are expecting DP SHE GOES to re-verso the result of her last meeting with VALENCE, when the latter was victorious. DP SHE GOBS gets a catch in the weights Monday that should prove of tremendous advantage for her. Her last race indicated that she was possibly the better of the two, j and with better racing luck may have been the winner. She came from far back, and at the end was going fastest of all. ▼Air-BNCB has but to run her same race as last Friday to save the place. SMACKER is good enough to fit in the show position. She has been turning in some fine moves sine? arriving here and is ready for a race. SUSAN REBECCA has an outside chance of getting in the money. AQ1 ITAMA— KRICK— MISS HIMQlY. In the Mount Sterling Purse, which is second on the card, the Eight Rrigade filly, AQUITANIA, is given the call over KRICK and MISS CHINIQlY. Her only race indicated that she can travel at a fast clip and if she were to give up the same effort today, think she could account for this purse. KRICK showed a decided improvement in her last start over a preceding race and the same performance Monday would find her landing in the two-hole. MISS CHINI-QlY raced like a good one in her maiden start and may be good enough to save the show. MARY HELEN is reported fast. She may be able to squeeze in the money at the finish. IRISH LACE— SEA DRIFT— BROKEN TOY. Of the fillies and mares that will hook up in the third, IRISH LACE appears to have the call. She turned in a pretty good performance her last out and we are looking for her to improve over that effort. If SEA DRIFT were to race to her last years form she would cause the winner some trouble, as she proved most consistent then. It will be her first test over a distance, and that may tend to stop her. BROKEN TOY would prove mighty dangerous if she were to elect to run as she did in her last race when she downed Foolscap and Resonance. CHAMP DE MARS— HELENS BABE-MARY O. The fourth race will bring about the first appearance at the local track of the Keene Brothers CHAMP DE MARS. The son of War Star is well thought of by his owners and they have let it be known that he stands more than an outside chance of capturing the big Kentucky classic. His two races at Miami indicated that he is a colt a little above the ordinary but the opposition he met then was not as classy as he will meet in the Derby. His race today will go a long waj- towards telling whether or not he is of Derby caliber. HELENS BABE, one of the few fillies entered for the Derby, figures to give the Keeneland Stable hope the most trouble. True, her last race did not amount for much, but we expect her to go better Monday with firm footing prevailing. MARY O. is looked to have a good chance of landing in the three-hole, taking a line through her last race. BEAU HITLER— fiLEXISTER II.— PERCENTAGE. BEAU BUTLER turned in a fair race in his new- owners colors when he finished third to Marconi and Chittagong. With the opposition he meets here somewhat below that which he met in that race, look for him to have no trouble in scoring. GLKN-ISTER II. had some difficulty in negotiating the heavy going in his last start, but expect him to go much better Monday. PERCENTAGE, which raced third to the Bradley pair, Bagenbaggage and Barcolo, last Thursday, should have no trouble in taking down the show money. He is not quite up to Derby-class but fits in well here. SINGING CRICKET— LAUREL— MAYOR BEHRMAN. SINGING CRICKET looks like the best play on the wash day card. She is entered in I the sixth, a two-year-old claiming affair. She usually goes best over a fast track and lias all the speed of this bunch. McDowell may have a good cne in LAURISL, a daughter of Manager Waite. Her last race was a distinct improvement over a previous start, and w«re she to race as well today, think she could take care of the place. MAYOR BEHRMAN showed a flash of speed in his last race here, and it may be that he win | prove the colt he was thought to be while racing at New Orleans. BLOV. HORN— MY DESTINY— MARGATE. In figuring the probable winner of the concluding race, past performances have to be tliov.n out of the calculations. BLOW HORN has not won a race since the Jeffer-s n 1 ark Fall meeting but he is reported to be fit at the present, and if so. can get home in front of this bunch. MY" DESTINY turned in a good race in her first sart here and may be the one to land the place were she to go as well today. MARGATE scored a neck victory over Bess McCann in her last start and should she elect to race in the same manner today, might prove dangerous.
