AI.KAl.I IKE was away slowly and outrun for the first half mile, then worked his way up on the outside and. responding gamely to hard riding, wore MARCEI.I.CS down and ontgamed him in the final drive. MAKCEI.LCS showed the most speed from the start and raced BOMBARDIER and VELERO into defeat, but tired right at the end. LONESOME ran a good race all the way and had no mishaps. BOMBARDIER ran well. VELERO showed speed for a half mile. UHOUHO finished well. PADDY HYNES stumbled at the start and unseated his rider. Scratched-97307 Brookwood. 112. ADIEC finished with a rush and would have been second in another stride FERRASH began slowly and passed tired horses at the end. TIBER raced well. MUNGO propped at the start. NAV1-t.ATOR was close- up from the start and rushed into the lead on the far turn, then saved ground when entering the stretch and was racing resolutely at the end. ESPINO began in a tangle, but was rushed lip into forward contention and made a challenge after rounding the stretch turn, hut was out finished resolutely P.l.AtK MARIA was under restraint on the out-side all the way and ran a good race.
