Dick Welles Selections SelectionsAt At Aurora DEADFALL ROCKING BARBKRKY BARBKRKYThe The Haughton Moran racer DEADFALL looks like a cinch to cop the opening event This is a five and a half furlongs dash for platers He is dead fit at the present and should not have much trouble in beating this bunch With chances for a large field going postward he holds an advantage in the fact that he is a quick breaker His position on the rail should also be of much help to him The one that looms up as the most probable contender is ROCKING This fast filly put up a fine performance her first start when she was second to Kosman last Friday If she runs in the same manner today she is going to be close up when the numbers are hung out It looks like a tight fit for the small end of the purse between BARBERRY and CHARLES WHITNEY We like the formers chances the best however howeverHIO HIO II CARD BREAKERS AHEAD QUEEN OF ALLAH ALLAHWe We are picking the maiden HIGH CARD to graduate in the second number a sprint over the threequarters route His last race was at a mile and while he got the place we think he will show up much better in the shorter distance He was well intended last time out but was just a little short of a winning effort He has the recent winner BREAKERS AHEAD to beat in the race The latter beat beat HIGH CARD in his first appearance but that was over a muddy track and we are looking for a reversal of that decision when they meet today with a fast strip prevailing QUEEN OF ALLAH has shown nothing in her two races here but is reported in good condition at the pres ¬ ent and if so may be the one to race to the show CAROLINE is given a look in basing on her Tijuana form formPOLYFENA POLYFENA QUEEN OF SHEBA Of the maiden juveniles that are to contest over the four and a half furlongs of the third we think POLYFENA has the best chance of scoring Her only start to date saw her finishing a good fourth to Edna Mitchell and Dick She raced as if a little green on that appearance and should have benefited by the race With the experience she gaind from that effort we are expecting her to race as her workouts indicate she is able to She has been turning in some fine moves of late QUEEN OF SHEBA ran a good race her last out at Columbus when she was second to The Wire She was clos ¬ ing fast at the finish and might have won had the distance been a little longer TAMEAS last two races here saw her taking down the show money in each race She should be good enough to do likewise here hereIN IN VIG ORATOR LOUIS A CHEER LEADER LEADERThe The fourth race at a mile and a sixteenth should prove a nice spot for INVIGORATOR which races for F J Boyle He was shipped here from the Maryland circuit and in his two starts just missed getting the decision on both occasions If he ever gets out in the lead he is very apt to lead the way home LOUIS A is good enough for us should IN ¬ VIGORATOR fail True he didnt run much of a race his first appearance here but basing on his Tijuana races is good enough to take down the purse It may be that he needed that race to become accustomed to the course CHEER LEADER was good enough in his last out to beat home Leontes and Slanderer He is an old timer as race horses go but still has a few good races left in his system If he performs as he did in his last effort he will bear watching in this race SLANDERER showed such an improvement in his last out that we are in ¬ clined to believe he may horn into the money at the finish finishLEVOY LEVOY MISS ROSEDALE FAST MAIL MAILNo No feature race is down for decision to ¬ day and the fifth is another claiming affair over the mile course It has been said that LEVOY is in top form right now and unless our information is all wrong he should be good enough to take down this purse He fared pretty well at Tampa last winter then after being shipped to Bowie got a second and a third in three starts MISS ROSE DALE is our pick for the place and we are looking for her to duplicate her race before last when she finished second to Tom P She beat a fast band at Bowie earlier in the spring and if she would run the same kind of a race here would prove dangerous FAST MAIL has one win to his credit here in two starts His last effort was a poor one but should he run as in his wont he may be able to take down the show portion of the purse purseROMPING ROMPING LAD MILDRED SHERER SISTER DIANA DIANAIf If a stronger rider can be found for ROMPING XAD we think he would be able to get home first in the sixth over the mile and a sixteenth route He had the inexpe ¬ rienced Healy up in his two races here and in each one finished in third place With a more experienced boy astride he should show to much better advantage MILDRED SHERER is making her first start here she being shipped from Havre de Grace While racing over the latter course she was always close up at the finish and should she run as well today may be the one to account for the place money SISTER DIANA was winner in her last out but she didnt beat much Against her faster opponents today the best we can see for her is the small end of the punse PADLOCK is gradually rounding to form and may be heard from in the race raceINTICTUS INTICTUS SISTER JOSELLA MARGARET GAUT GAUTINVICTUS INVICTUS looks like a good play in the closing number another distance event over the mile and seventy yards course In his last two races he appeared to be just a little short of a winning effort but since his last start turned in a workout that leads us to believe that he is now ready A race back to that effort would see him leading the others home by a safe margin SISTER JOSELLA was beaten a neck in her last two appearances and if she races as well today is going to prove a tough one to beat She has been a long time in rounding into form but if her recent races count for anything is rapidly nearing best condition If MAR ¬ GARET GAUT would race as she is able we think she will be the one to garner the show money She is an in and outer but puts up a good performance at times GENTRY may have to be reckoned with if his last race was a true indication of his form One Best Bet DEADFALL in First Race
