CONSISTENT PIRATE GOLD Scores Third Victory of Omaha Meeting — Majority of Favorites Successful. OMAHA, .Neb. June 28.— Pirate Cold, that c nsistent heirse that races in the colors of W. M. Clem, won his third race of the present meeting when he was home first in the three-quarters dash, which featureel the Monday racing program at Ak-Sar-Ren field. The winner was favorite and never left any doubt as to his superiority. He toyed with Don K, which attempted to keep him company in the early stages and when ready drew away to win by several lengths. He ran the elistance in 1:11% and had he been extended would have likely smashed the track record. Randals Royal raced to second place and Publisher nosed out Don K for third money. It was a large week elay crowd which braved the extreme heat to attend the races this afternoon and. while they sweltered a bit. they witnessed some fine racing and were successful in the main in locating the winners, as popular choices accounted for most of the races. Marse John, the favorite, defeated a bulky-band in the first race. He came fast through the streteh to obtain a nose decision over Miss Reighton. while Olympian King was a close up third. Ring was a top heavy favorite in the second rae-e. but showed nothing to warrant the | confidence placed in her. She was in third I position for the first part of the journey, then j tired when the stretch was reached, and was a badly beaten mare at the end. Balefull | was the winner, and he ran as if much the ! best, coming from behind to score easily. ; Rrown Trout was second and Joe Tag third. Korbly scored his third straight victory j when he accounted for the third race, in [which the smallest band of the day paraded. It was a two-horse battle between the winner and John A. Scott Jr.. and e nly a nose separated the pair at the finish. Lemon Seth I was third. Julia Lee easily won the fourth. She I passed her opponents in the stretch and drew j into a safe lead. Martin L. was second, and Tom Micks third. Supervisor was claimed by R. Hall for 00.
