T AURORA TURF NOTES I # 4 AURORA. 111., May 9. The apprentice boy, Elmer ODowd, has been signed to a three-year contract hy Swinehart Bros., and the latter will take out a license for him at Aurora as soon as he returns from a visit to his home in St. Paul, Minn. D. S. Fountain, former trainer for the C. E. Durnell Stable, left tonight for Omaha, where he will take up nine horses, the property of J. W. Marchbank. After the meeting, he will go to Marchbanks at Walnut Creek, Calif., and take up thirty more to bo raced in the fall.
