MKSK SHAPOFF was forced to race wide most of the way but finished fast and outgamed KT1TTT8. The latter closed a big gap quickly when clear in the stretch and finished well. BAND O PPKPLE also made up ground. CIRCUIT showed the most early speed, but gave way quickly in the last eighth. LNCLK JOE worked out an additional eighth after the race. MINTWIKI was outpaced to the stretch, then, gaining fast under the best riding, came on the inside of PEGGY TAYLOB in the last eighth and got up to out finish her in the last twenty yard*. PEGGY TAYLOR showed the most early sjieed and, drawing away from I-TtOCKYVAY in the stretch, took an easy lead, but was outfinished. and. under a more alert rider, would have won. SIIEEPSHEAD BAY saved much ground by racing on the inside and finished gamely. FAIB LOTTA dosed a gap. ItKll* KWAY tired in the final drive. ETHEI. HACGHTON quit. The latter raced close up from the start and. finishing fast, challenged the leader and was wearing her down at the end. EBLA LEE II. closed a big gap and fiuished fast and close up. DOWN TOWN saved much ground while on the inside throughout, but tired near the end. ASCOT was done in the stretch. The latter was close up from the -.imt and. finishing gamely, outstayed BED WEED. BED WEED gained steadily and raced into second place in the stretch, but tired badly iu the final drive. »,REEN BLAZES made up ground, but could never reach the leaders. BAD I.lCK had no mishaps and cpiit iu the stretch. 1--KIIUAH was done after omg three-quarters.
