Won driving; second and third the same. SPANISH STAR set the pace to the stretch and lost "the lead briefly to FAUSTO, but came again in the last seventy yards and won in a hard drive. FAUSTO improved his position on the outside gradually and took the lead in the stretch, but was outfinished by the winner. FORETOLD ran a good race all the way. LANOIL finished gamely. Won driving; second and third the same. GOLFLEX raced close up to the stretch and, finishing fast on the inside, took a small lead when beading MARTIE FLYNN and held the latter safe in a hard drive. The latter gained steadily all the way and finished closely lapped on the winner. SHASTA SUEIK raced into the lead after going a half mile, but tired in the last eighth. THE BADGER began fast after delaying the start and showed the most speed all the way, but tired and barely lasted to win. PATSY JANE forced a fast pace to the end and almost got up to . win. ALBORAK saved ground on the inside on the stretch turn and nosed out GOTHAM. The latter raced well, but was forced wide on the last turn, then tired near the end. DOWNCAST showed speed for a half mile. MATADOR had no mishaps. BIIOAVN SUGAR raced on the outside while forcing the pace and passed BOOZB BEYKIl into the lead after entering the stretch, but tired and could not withstand the winner. RANTON raced into the lead after going the first half mile and drew away, then finished gamely under hard riding through the stretch and managed to hold the lead to win in the last stride. PRINCESS DOREEN was taken into the lead at once, but soon was headed by BAXTON; then, racing in closest pursuit of him, began wearing him down quickly in the stretch and barely missed getting up in time and would have won in another stride. HELENS BABE raced gamely throughout and was gaining on the leaders dangerously at the finish. COTLOGOMOR was far back to the stretch, then saved much ground on the inside and closed a big gap. CLOUD ID0L1ZER raced into prominence in the stretch, but suddenly tired. EDWARD GRAY tired badly also. TWINKLING set the early pace, then quit.
