MAKES DEBUT IN PAUMONOK , 4 Fair Stables Oh Say Will Start , in Jamaica Feature. Sara/en Training Kindly and Apparently Is in Best of Heallli — Rancocas Horses in Condition. * NEW YORK, N. Y.. April 18— Oh Say, thrcc-ycar-cld dark brown son of Dis Done — Rowes Bud. which Alex Gordon is training for the Fair Stable of Mrs. Graham Fair Vanderoilt, will make his 192S debut in the renewal of the Paumonok Handicap, the ■ opening day feature of the Metropolitan Jockey Clubs spring meeting, which begins i Monday. Oh Say is handicapped at 106 ; pounds by Mr. Vosburgh in this race. Oh Say. following this race, will be a starter in the Wood Memorial, which has always i served trainers to obtain a real line on the merits of their charges which have been i named for the important three-year-old fixtures to be decided later on. Oh Say is a candidate for the Preakness : Stakes and Kentucky Derby and his showing ; in the Paumonok Handicap and Wood Memorial renewals will influence Cordon in the I matter of shipping South and West after • the other prizes. Oh Say is a good looking • individual and has filled out considerably over the winter. He has all the appearances ; of a high-class horse, with powerful shoulders and hind quarters: lie girths deep , through the heart and should he fail to race . to expectations, it will be a distinct shock : to his caretakers. The other horses in the barn, including the two-year-olds, wintered well and are in good condition. Byrd, which raced with signal success last year, did not ship any too well and was off his feed. The horse did not develop any temperature or show other signs of illness. Jockey Pascuma, who is under contract to the Fair Stable and at present riding at Havre de Grace, will report to the stable Friday. Pascuma may accept mounts at Aqueduct the final day of the United Hunts meeting. Gordon has named several of his charges in the flat races for both days of the meeting. S. C. Hildreth was at the stable early yesterday morning but did not bring out any of the Rancocas Stable horses for exercise. Hildreth inspected the main and training tracks during the morning. The Rancocas Stable shipped well from the farm. Jockeys Fator and Catrone accompanied the stable. T. J. Healey, who journeyed to Havre de Grace for the opening of that meeting, returned to Belmont Park and resumed his duties. He will make frequent trips to Maryland until the season comes to a close in that state.
