LI RULE, clear of interference, came on the outside of the leaders and. finishing fast and gamely, passed CfUCUUGHT and got up to win in t he last strides. MAIDENS TRYST, away fast and close up throughout, made a fast finish. CHICLEKJHT came over sharply soon after the start, raced into the lead and finished we!l. STOUT bean slowly :uid raced on the outside, but finished fast. THE BLONDE suffered from crowding early and finished fast on the inside. DINAH DID UPSET showed a high flight of speed after leaving t.ie barrier, but met with interference. JLBILEE tired. MARION MAY closed a gap. ROAM had a rough race. PORTIA took the lead quickly, withstood challenges from SHAKITLP and, racing gamely when hard ridden, outfinished ANGRY MOOD. The latter was forced to race on the outside from the start and lacked early speed, but came with a rush through the stretch and barely failed to get up. APPLE PIE saved ground on the turns and finished well. SHAKITIP forced a good pace, but tired in the final eichth. FAIR LARK finished fast wiien clear. CANNON LIB ran well for a half and tired. STROLLING ". lLAYEK began awkardy, but displayed high speed, but appeared to stride in sluggish fashion until settled down, then rame oa the outside when entering the home stretch and finished with a brilliant | burst of sp?ed. GAFFSMAN raced forwardly and finished well. BANTON appeared to sulk while racing 1 on the in-,ide. SIR HARRY was not persevered with when he tired slightly.
