Leonard. ♦ The Bowie meeting inaugurated spring racing in Maryland and proved immensely successful. There were eleven days of racing, ■ from April 3 to April 14, during which time seventy-seven races were run and 05,948 y distributed among the horsemen, the daily average distribution amounting to ,631. F. H. Smith and the Nevada Stock Farm Stable were the largest winners among the owners, Prickly Heat topping the list of horses, while K. Leonard and P. M.
