He reported the safe arrival at Churchill Downs of eight of the horses of i 3 Harry Payne Whitney, which were shipped 4 4 from Maryland. The shipment included Afterglow, The Bat, Geyser, John Peel, Chi- i 5 cola. Golden West and others. The latter I G two-year-old was purchased by Goldblatt out of the Island Farm dispersal sale at Havre de Grace last Friday. Goldblatt is negotiating for the transfer of the contract on apprentice A. Robertson, which is held by his father. Robertson probably will ride for the ! Goldblatt stable during the Louisville and ? Latonia meetings regardless of whether the I sale of his contract is effected. if
