LEXINGTON TURF NOTES | • ■ 9 LEXINGTON*. Ky.. April 23. W. J. Potter has a useful half dozen racers in quarters here. They are Brilliant. Polvo. Gad. Master Sweep, Rodrigo and Hayess Choice. This is the initial appearance of the Mobile turfmans colors here. Jockey C. Hainsworth. who suffered a hard fall from My Bra on Saturday, was found to have received no serious hurts and will not be required to undergo an X-ray examination for his collarbone, which gave him trouble. E. E. Mooar has purchased from D. Komi. the three-year-old filly Truitelle, by Trout-beck — Apparition. The filly will be shipped from Maryland, where she wintered at James Arthurs farm to Churchill Downs, where the main division of the Mooar stable is located. J. H. Patterson expected to leave Monday for New York. He reports that E. L. Fitzgerald will campaign his stable over the 1 Metropolitan circuit this year. Roscoe Goose sent Flattery. Princeton and I Warbler over from Louisville to join the division of the J. N. Camden stable that is handled by Danny Stewart. Flattery is a 1 lien Ali Handicap eligible, while Princeton I is. in the Idle Hour Stakes and Warbler among the candidates for the Hinata Stakes. Earl Pool has been engaged to ride Marconi, the Mose Goldblatt stable star, in the coming renewal of the Ben Ali Handicap. The division of the Valley Lake Stable, . which J. B. Partridge vanned over from 1 Churchill Downs, is made up of Geo. I Groom, Doctor Fred, Sethfer and Billy Culbertson. J. 15. Partridge came over from Louisville to supervise the receiving of three of the | Valley Lake Stable horses, which he sent over from Churchill Downs this morning. Jockey Willie Crump had a narrow escape from serious injury when Watch On, his mount in the first race. Stumbled when Crump prevented him from interfering with i another horse. Crump was thrown with great t force, but examination revealed nothing more e serious than a few bruises. George J. Long, owner of Bashford Manor r Farm and the Derby hopeful Braybant, motored - from Louisville for the opening. Word was received here that M. Goldblatt , ia shipping eight horses from Maryland, the e property of Harry Payne Whitney to Louisville, where they will join others Goldblatt is S training for that sportsman. W. E. Smith of the Standard Oil Company . of Kentucky was among the Louisivilleans over for the initial days racing. Senator Gainer, of Breckinridge county, is ■ a visitor.
