Sinclair had been acquitted in Washington, and there was general congratulations and some smiles over the premature action of the Maryland State Racing Commission in having barred his horses. Dr. M. J. Dair unsexed the sprinter Hob-caw this morning. He also applied the firing irons to Bleuletton and Espino II. "Doc" Crawford arrived at Jamaica with six horses, which Dr. C. R. Richards purchased out of the Island Farm dispersal sale yesterday. Dr. Richards was acting as agent for Crawford at the sale. Crawford has secured second call on the services of Jodn y Pascuma. Geo. E. Duller arrived yesterday from England. He will ride for the Dorwood Stable of Victor Emanuel this coming year. Jockey J. Pierce was removed to Mary Immaculate Hospital at Jamaica. He broke his collar bone when he fell from Graeme in the third race. Bobby Bowers arrived from Lexington with the apprentice Tommy Root, who is under contract to the Harry Payne Whitney Stable. Trainer W. Knapp has taken over the T. M. Cassidy Stable to train.
