CHIEF began slowly, but saved ground on tbe turns while working bis way up and out finished OLD FELLOW. The latter, taken back in tbe first quarter, came with a rush on tbe last turn and was going fast at the end. MALCOLM, close up from the start, raced fast to the final eighth before tiring. BVERLASTING ahowed early speed, but tired in the final drive. HAIL STORM ran a good race. "BLACK FLIER raced wide. MAKE A WISn suffered from interference in the early running and came fust in the stretch when hard ridden. PROMISCUOUS was taken back soon after the start. AR-LINE CONNOR tired after reaching the stretch. MILES PRIOR raced close up from the start and finished well. CONGO II. was a close up contender to the last eighth, where he tired. JLEL JEAN finished fast. EFELDEE was eased up when beaten. QUEEN OF SI1EBA ran well to the stretch. KENBALG quit. BRIG was left ■t the post. BLUB DARTER was in a jam much of the way.
