I JAMAICA TURF NOTES 7 9 • NEW YORK, N. Y., May 15. Max Hirsch came back from Pimlico, where he raced a- division of his extensive stable. George Fields reported today to Bob Smith. William Ashton, prominent Baltimore sportsman, was a elub house visitor. Roy Dickerson, who has been appointed starter at Arlington Park, Chicago, is here today on business. He will leave for the west shortly. Earl Sande came up from Pimlico, where he left his horses. He will not have a starter in the Derby. Recent arrivals at Belmont Park are J. O. Keene from Pimlico and a division of the E. R Bradley stable from Lexington, Ky. The main division will be shipped next week in charge of Trainer Dick Thompson. The stable of J. P. McGovern of Baltimore came over from Pimlico. Harry P. Stoddart headed the trek from Pimlico and will remain for the meeting. The W. S. Kilmer stable, in charge of Andy Blakely, came in from Maryland. Thirty-four head are in the loL J. H. Tevis claimed Caroler from Mrs. J. A. Coburn out of the second race today for ,000. Jockey J. Burke was restored to good standing today and granted a license. A. Kobertson has been engaged to ride The Nut in the Derby, while S. ODonnell will ride Voltear. F. W. Contner claimed Omareen from Mrs. CJ. W. Carroll for ,500, while G. C. Winfrey took Drawing Board for ,000 out of the same race. J. G. Bussey claimed Meander from the .Meadow Farms Stable, out of the seventh race for ,500. George C. Pass is handling the engagement books of jockeys Legt re and Albert Johnson. The latter is riding at 112, while Lege re can do 108. They came up with the Kilmer stable.
