I LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES T $ . LOUISVILLE. Ky., May 15. The stewards have posted a notice cautioning horsemen not to employ Harold Morgan, an apprentice, oinder contract to J. D. Lena-han, whose employ Morgan left without permission. Licenses were granted today as follows : Trainers, Wm. Pinch, Elsa Brown. Jockeys, Geo. Woolf. Apprentices, R. L. Simpson. Jockey C. E. Allen was an arrival from Aurora and accepted mounts Monday afternoon. John Schank, president of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association, which operates Hawthorne, arrived here Saturday to make an extended stay. Mr. Schank has for some years been an annual visitor at Churchill Downs. Bryant Ott has sent the French Lick Springs Stables Bernice R., to Sanford Lynes farm to be bred to Hephaistos. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Cummings are visitors from New Orleans and will remain until after the Derby running. Alex. Gordon, trainer of the Fair Stables Chicatie, came in from New York and took personal charge of the colt. Following Chi-caties participation in the Derby, he will be returned to New York. Additional licenses given out by the stewards today included the following: Apprentice — Walter Cooler. Agents — V. Crane for J. R. Thompson, Jr., and J. H. Moody for T. E. Mueller. Monastery, which fell while galloping on the track Monday morning, suffered slight injuries to his right hind leg and may be out of training a short time. The three-year-old Uptime, which had a temperature yesterday, was reported normal this morning by Trainer Alex Menger. George Arvin, trainer of the H. T. Archibald horses, arrived from New York and will direct the final training of Folking for the Derby.
